Edge Utilities its subsidiaries and any of its affiliates, agents, contractors, or subcontractors, as the context may require. The Edge Utilities website refers to a software service offers at the domain “EdgeUtilities.com.”  “User” or “Users” refer to the end-user or users of the services that EdgeUtilities.com provides under these terms and conditions.

What information are you gathering about me?

For our newsletter and FREE PC optimization information, we require your full name and e-mail address. We also require full street address, phone number, and credit card information via secure third party checkout systems .  WE DO NOT REQUIRE OR ASK FOR YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

NOTICE TO PARENTS:  In order to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), edgeutilities.com does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.  However, if you believe your child has an account with us, and you wish to request that the details are removed from our database, please mail us at 10871 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116 U. NOTICE TO UNDER 13's: If you reside in the United States of America, this applies to you. The law states that if we are aware that you are under 13, we must get your parents consent to hold data that can identify you. This means, that we must remove your email address and any other personal information about your account, if we discover or are made aware that you are under 13.

In order to provide you with a personalized experience and also monitor the traffic patterns on our site, edgeutilities.com uses a feature of your browser called a “cookie” to track content preferences and traffic patterns. The cookie may contain a number or other information which reminds us who you are when you visit our site. What do you do with the information you collect about me?

We use your e-mail address and, in rare situations, your mailing address or phone number, to contact you regarding your account.  We also use this information to notify you of special offers and new products offered by us, but you may choose to unsubscribe or “opt out” of such notifications.

If you use a credit card to pay for our services, we use your credit card number, address and billing information to process your transactions and provide associated support.  All such information is processed on a secure web site through a secure link, and we will never knowingly allow anyone else access to this information without your express permission.

We do use information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the site, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms of Service.

What information might be disclosed to third parties?

Edgeutilities.com will exercise its maximum efforts to protect the anonymity and personal privacy of every user.  There is one exception to this.  Edgeutilities.com reserves the right to share information you provide (including any identifying information you provide) with legal authorities if it is, in our sole opinion, necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected fraud, situation involving threats or potential harm to the physical safety of any person, or if required by law (such as if required by a subpoena, court order or other legal means).

We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information or uploaded files to or with any third party.

Edgeutilities.com does not allow third parties to send promotional email to its users without your express consent, in advance.  EdgeUtilties.com may send administrative emails to confirm user registrations or to update users concerning new services or opportunities with Edgeutilities.com. Some of these emails may contain information about the services of our partners. We may send out promotional emails on behalf of our partners to those users who have demonstrated an interest in receiving such solicitations.
 
We do aggregate information and disclose such information, in aggregate, to partners and use it for other marketing and promotional purposes.  However, in these situations, we do not disclose any information that could be used to personally identify you.  Certain information, such as your password and credit card number, is never disclosed at all, even in aggregate.

Edgeutilities.com cooperates with all law enforcement inquiries and with all third parties to enforce their intellectual property or other rights. Unfortunately, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may be forced to disclose information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications will remain private.

A Note About Changes To This Policy

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Edgeutilities.com Terms of Service and may be revised over time as new features are added to the website. We will post those changes prominently so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone. If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner that differs from what was stated at the time of collection, we will notify you via e-mail. If we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our website notifying users of the change. In addition to the notice on our site, in some cases, we will also e-mail users who have opted to receive communications from us notifying them of the change in our privacy practices.
